The Class 4A Division I State Championship Game! Longview’s return to the 4A ranks sent them all the way to their First State Title game since 1997. Their reward, was getting to play the No. 1 team in the State, Nationally ranked Lake Travis and National Player of the Year in Garrett Gilbert. Despite being tied 7-7, the Lobos fell apart after losing Tyler McCray to an injury, and the Cavs showed just why they were ranked as high as they were.
