It’s amazing how a bit of blur can fool the brain into thinking everything was tiny.
Nice video.

I think it is version 1.0.3 or maybe one before that.

What version of MB did you use?

There is a tilt shift effect in magic bullet you apply to your clip. You can then play with the focus area to make it bigger/smaller and change the horizontal or vertical part for the best look. Seems like the settings are on the lower right once you are in the tool. I did test some shots and you really need to be up and above what ever you are filming to make it look right.
I have never tried with the lenses but I would think with good lenses that would have to be better – but who knows?

how do you do this? and would it be close enough to the quality you get using lenses? i have this plugin..! thanks

I used some software called Magic Bullet and then made a few adjustments to the size and amount of the blur. There are ways to do it with a flexiable lens or a bellows and a large lens to shoot through. Look up Tilt Shift techniques on the web or here. Pretty fun.

Agreed – after I made this video I figured out a way to undersample it and make it look stop motion’ish..will do it next time.
